Level 9 – 1,000 / 2,000, ante 300 – Players 40 / 63
The second day of the €720+80 Main Event of the Mega Poker Series Dublin at the Clayton Airport Hotel (formerly Bewley’s) will start in 45 minutes from now at 14:00 local time with 40 players remaining. The action restarts in level nine at blinds 1,000-2,000 and a running ante of 300, though players still have the chance to late register or re-enter before the first card is dealt should they not have bagged up any chips for Day 2.
A maximum of ten 60-minute levels are scheduled and this may very well whittle down the field to its official final table of the last eight. Once the registration is closed, the payouts will be announced and the Main Event will pay out approximately 12% of the field based on total entries. The blind structure can be found here.
Atop the chip counts is Francisco “Kikuxo” Fernandez with 346,500 followed by the Day 1a entertainers David O’Kelly (286,000) and Gavin Fintan (274,000). Other big stacks and notables include Aaron Manley (249,000), Daniel Burkart (243,000), David Lappin (243,000), Sascha Ranzinger (218,200), Mario Eder (174,500), MPS Madrid 2014 and Season 3 leader board champion Aristotelis Tavris (168,100), Irish poker icon Andy Black (134,600), Jacek Pustula (127,800), Mike Hill (109,300) and Poker Royale boss Peter Hajszan (90,600).
