After two tournament days and almost 18 levels of 60 minutes each, the 70-entry field of the €800 2015 Mega Poker Series Dublin Main Event has been whittled down to its last nine players. Thanks to a bubble deal last night, the payouts were bumped from eight to nine spots and all remaining hopefuls have at least €1,000 locked up.
Leading the field is David O’Kelly with 1,270,000 followed by Nabil Cardoso (979,000) and Andrew Leathem (938,000). A trio of Spaniards has made it and Day 1b chip leader Francisco Fernandez (470,000) as well as Diego Soto (488,000) are in the middle of the pack. The local Irish heroes also include David Lappin (525,000), Aidan “Aido” O’Reilly (346,000) as well as Fintan Gavin (287,000) while Paul Turek from Austria (383,000) completes the line up.
Play will resume at 14:00 local time with 08:36 left in level 18 at blinds 8,000-16,000 and a running ante of 2,000. Due to the live stream on Twitch, there is a security delay of 30 minutes and the text commentary will follow this path as well. The winner will be walking home with €15,600 and the full payouts can be found here.
