Crash Boom Bang

Joao Santos has emerged as overwhelming chip leader for the day thus far and unless anything changes dramatically, he will be the guy pictured in the daily recap. The Portuguese had raised and James Laina as well as a short-stack in the blinds called.

After a flop of 8d, Santos’ continuation bet was called by Laina before the short-stack moved all in. Santos reshoved to isolate and Laina called for more than 100,000 with Js. The very same Laina had been bluffed previously by the Portuguese but this time Santos had a legit spot with Qd9d.

The short-stack was drawing slim with and it was all over after the appeared on the turn. A meaningless river completed the board and Santos boosted his stack all the way to 570,000.
