For the very first time, the Mega Poker Series will be heading to the island of Malta and celebrate the start of its fourth season from May 5th until May 10th 2015. The hosting location of the Deep Stack Festival is the Casino Portomaso, which already held stops of the World Poker Tour, Italian Poker Tour, is home to the very popular Battle of Malta as well as the upcoming stop of the European Poker Tour in March.
Players can win their €1,500 package for as low as €1 on the new main sponsor William Hill Poker and the first Super Satellite will take place on February 22nd 2015. The full online satellite structure will be released within the next few days, however we can already confirm that each week at least three packages will be up for grabs.
Furthermore, fellow iPoker skin NetBet Poker also runs a weekly super sat each Sunday as well. Besides the showdown at the end of the week, players can also win their trip to sunny Malta through other exclusive promotions on William Hill Poker, so make sure to check back regularly. The flagship event of the festival is the €720+80 MPS Main Event, which has received some cosmetic changes with the new main sponsor aboard. Besides the slightly increased buy-in, players now also receive 80,000 in chips and the late registration is possible until the first card is dealt on Day 2. At least eight 60-minute levels are played on each of the two starting days and this will also be the case for Day 2 when the field is narrowed down towards the money. As of Day 3 and on the final day, the level duration increases to 75 minutes with 30 minutes per level during the heads-up stage.
Besides the Main Event, the Casino Portomaso will also be the host of Side Events with buy-ins between €100 and €400 that all count towards the new seasonal leader board. The Turbo Satellites for the Main and Side Events will continue too after being quite popular in Vienna.
